To register a trademark in Latvia there are the following options: 

1. File a trademark application directly in Latvia. If you are after trademark registration in only a small number of countries, direct applications may be the best way to proceed.

2. As part of an international trademark under the "Madrid Protocol agreement". As a member of this international trademark agreement which allows us to file a single application in over 70 countries. The Madrid Protocol is intended to be an affordable and efficient way of protecting your trademark in a wide range of countries.

3. As part of a European Trademark under a "Community trademark application". As a member of the European Union we can file a single trademark application covering all countries of the European Union. This type of application can only cover all of the European Union countries and is very affordable.
